Self Help Center has partnered with Psych Care Consultants to provide free mental health assessments for those in need, who may have no other means of receiving an assessment.  If you have medical insurance that covers mental health care or medicaid or medicare, please feel free to contact us for a referral agency.

Please note the following when calling:

1. Assessments are not currently held at our location, though we are working to make this available.
2. If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional you should not schedule an assessment unless it is suggested by your mental health caregiver.
3. When calling please be prepared to leave a main and alternate phone number where the Doctor's office may contact you.  Also leave a time and day of the week that you can best be reached.
4. The scheduling by the Doctor's office can take several weeks, so be patient.  If you are experiencing severe symptoms, such as suicidal thoughts, it is best that you go to the nearest Emergency Room, such as Barnes, St. Johns, St. Anthony's, or St. Mary's.
5. For support prior to your assessment, please join us for one of our support groups.  This will allow you the opportunity to speak to other individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness.
